Make up brushes short guidePosted on 6:35am Sunday 19th Feb 2012 Little guide to what a few of the main makeup brushes are ideal for. The benefit of having a few make up brushes of different designs makes it possible to brush make up onto various facial parts. Some make up brushes, such as those used on models and film and TV stars, help make up artists to brush make up onto the rest of the body, as well due to their size and shape. The most common types of cosmetic brushes used for everyday purposes are eye shadow and eyeliner brushes, a loose powder/blusher/contour brush and lip brush. Eye shadow brushes allow brushing make up on the eyes in different stages to create strong vibrant looks or to layer and create a blending effect. Smaller eye shadow brushes help in contouring, while the larger ones are for blending to create a unique effect. Eyeliner brushes are helpful in creating definition for the eyes. If you are more confident with your makeup you can use a finer brush (eyeliner brish) on to apply a liquid eye make up and shape to your eye more freely. Professionals use powder make up brushes to dust off extra powder and to set foundation make up properly this style of brush is the more larger top brush with a wide head of bristle. Alot of women carry a blusher brush in their handbags as this allows them to apply a top up of powder easily and more quickly/sparingly. The smaller, softer brushes or contour brushes allow one to brush makeup onto the ’cheek apples’ and cheekbones to lend the face a rosy glow and highlight the facial features nicely, contour brushes are called this as they are angled and will allow for application to the face in a certain flow but are perfect for highlighting and shading. |
