I am one of those people that cannot keep long nails and when they do get to a nice length I like to cover my nails with colour. Any other time my nails look awful but at the moment I am loving the olour on my nails and I am still loving the crackle nail polish.

Crackle nail polish is a nail art polish tht is easy to use and very quick and long lasting.

I have normally stuck with having a neon blue nail polish for a base coat and then topped it off with a black crackle nail polish but since the new colours of crackle nail polish have been released I have gone the whole hog and tried all colours with a white nail polish base.

Crackle nail polish is very easy to use because one you have a base coat of any colour normal nail polish on your nails and it is dry to touch you can then simply paint a crackle colour to your nails and then as it dries instantly you have the crackle effect. Tip this off with a top coat to seal in the nail polish colour and you are away. Even better is to either use the Glow in the dark nail polish as your top coat or the UV glow nail polish and then once you are in the dark or under a UV light your nails will take on a whole new look.

Noen UV make up can be alot of fun. You just need some reactive make up and it is not that expensive at all as you can simply use 2 or 3 colours and really have great fun with creating patterns and designs. UV lipstick can also be used as a face paint as well so your can do the neon craze very cheaply. Once you have dotted and drawn lines in the design that you are after you then just beed a black light. The black lights are normally in night clubs or torches etc and once you are under a black light the UV make up will come in to its own!.

By applying UV neon Lipstick and then some UV neon body paint you can get results like this:

A great ways to use white eye shadow:

- A white eye colour can be applied to the eye area from the eyeline to the brow. By doing this you will then create a nice base and will allow the colour you apply on top to be blended easily plus can be used to tone down a top colour.

- If you lover the iridescent or shimmery eye shadow colours but dont like them to iridescent in colour then simply apply the white eye shadow as a base and this will tone down any of these iridescent eye colour shades.

- If you are after a wider looking eye effect simply apply the white eye shadow colour under your brow, apply with a eye shadow brush and sweep along the bone area and you will create a fresher look.

- For some one who has dark eye lids applying a little white eye shadow from eye to brow you will create a much lighter effect on the eye and make them appear alot softer.

- When trying to achieve a smokey eyeshadow look the eyebrow bone area is the key to keeping light and soft and white eye shadow is ideal for this.

- If you have tired looking eyes just apply a bit of white eye shadow and instantly you will find that your eyes will appear more fresh and clean.

Having good nails has now been a great new trend and with all the new Nail Art accessories available to us now we have no need to pay the high prices of the salon. Plus getting design ideas is easy as all we have to do is open a magazine and see what the latest celebs have.

Some of you are blessed with wonderfully strong, healthy nails. For the rest like me who are not so lucky and nail break easily or are quite soft so other measures have to be taken. The solution? False acrylic nail tips.

False nail application options.

• Professional nail salon.
• Self application.

Your local high street will probably have salons for false nail applications but It is an expensive option. On the other hand It is not as expensive for you to apply the acrylic nails yourself and with a little practice will be as good as the salon.

By following instructions and with practice, you can apply your acrylic false nails with the same care and great detailed results that you can get from a nail professional salon.

What you need to hand before you start:

• Non-acetone nail polish remover. (Acetone in polish will melt the false nails)
• Artificial nail tips. (choose your colour and style depending on the look you would like to achieve)
• Liquid acrylic, powdered acrylic and nail oil. Each easy to find and little cost
• Nailbrush.
• Nail files.
• Nail filing block.
• Acrylic nipper. (specially designed nail clippers for false nails)
• Small acrylic brush and a working dish for the acrylic liquid.

When chosing your false nail tips, choose tips that are the same size as your own nails or you will have to file the nails down, just try and get them as precise as you can for a easy application.

What to do guide.

To Start - Give your nails a manicure to give your sel a ready canvas. Smooth rough edges and remove dead skin with your nail files and buffers. Use a non-acetone nail polish remover to remove nail polish and acrylic that you may already have on your nails. Use the filing block to roughen your nail surfaces. Cut the nails to the skin part so you have all your nail neat and ready. Do not injure yourself you only need to do the excess so that you want to prevent your nail from being ripped off if the acrylic nail tip is broken.

Step 1 - Check which nail tip fits nicely to each nail and line them up ready so you know which tip goes to which nail and you can easily put a drop of glue on the tip. The glue drop should reach from the bottom of the nail to the indentation where your nail’s edge will fit in. If you apply your nail and you notice it is not on straight you can remove a crooked acrylic nail by immediately soaking it in water. So you have no need to panic.

Step 2 - Use the acrylic nippers or a large nail clipper to trim the tips to your desired length. Use the nail file to remove any rough edges and to even out the lengths of your nail tips. Always ideal that you are near an open window for applying false nails with liquid acrylic due to fumes so make sure your area is well-ventilated. You will paint the liquid acrylic on to your nails so that the beds or bottom of your nail will be smooth without any bumps where the edge of the acrylic nail tips rests on your nail.

Step 3 - You will then need to be getting your acrylic brush and dipping it into the liquid acrylic and then into the acrylic powder and this will create a ball of thickened acrylic on your brush. You will simply paint the acrylic that is on the brush on to your nail so that you can create a smooth finish for your acrylic nail tips.

To further explain:

Keep the acrylic powder container open. Prepare the acrylic brush by dipping the brush into the liquid acrylic and then wiping it on a paper towel to remove excess liquid. Then lightly dip half of the brush into the liquid acrylic and then remove the excess by wiping against the inside of the liquid acrylic bottle just as you would do with nail polish.

You are ready to dip the brush tip into the acrylic powder. When you do, you will create a ball of thickened acrylic. It should be damp instead of wet. Paint this thickened acrylic where the acrylic nail tip is on your nail. Work quickly to spread the acrylic on to your nail surface without flattening the acrylic. Wipe the brush on the paper towel to remove any excess acrylic.

Keep this going until you have built a natural look on to your nail but make sure you avoid getting acrylic on your cuticles because mold or fungus could grow under the nail at that spot.

Step 4 - After about ten minutes for your nails to dry and set. You will be safe to use a grit nail file, this will be so you can shape and tidy up your nails. Then use the filing block to smooth your nails. Remove any acrylic filings and dust by washing with soapy water and using a brush. The reason we mentioned nail oil in the list above is that once you have applied these harsh chemicals to your nails you will need the oil to help condition.

As your nails grow out, you will need to top up and paint more acrylic on to your nails every two weeks just to fill in where the new growth of the nail appears.
